La Strada first started in 2010 with mobile events through out the Northeast. In 2011 we decided to put our roots down as well in beautiful Matunuck Rhode Island and we have been having a blast ever since.
Keep it Local
We believe strongly in keeping it local. Not only does it help the local businesses and community grow and thrive, but it gives you the best and freshest pizza and salads. All our vegetables are locally source from such farms as Matunuck Veggie Farm, One Love Farm, Whaley's Farm and Schartner’s Farm to name a few. Our cheeses are from Narragansett Creamery and this year we are going to dabble in making our own. We also locally source most of our meats, although we do, from time to time, bring up some goodies from New York and abroad. Our Wood Fired Oven
Our mobile wood fired oven does not use electricity or gas. It burns clean and we have learned to cook different foods through different heat stages of the oven. None of the energy goes to waste. We’re proud of that. Not only is our oven exceptionally efficient, with pizzas taking a minute and a half to cook, it is a beautiful work of art.
